Trainer/Assessor
Location: Edinburgh
Reporting to: Head of training, facilities and safety risk
Salary: c£30,000 per annum
Hours: Full time, 38.75 hours per week
The Role
As a Trainer/Assessor, you’ll deliver engaging, practical training both at our training centres and at customer locations across Scotland. Working alongside a supportive team of experienced trainers, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent learning experiences while helping us grow our commercial training services.
The role will be based at our Edinburgh training centre, with course delivery primarily across our Edinburgh, Glenrothes, Perth and Dundee centres. Your induction will take place at our flagship Training Academy in Glasgow. As our training opportunities continue to expand, flexibility to travel to other training centres and customer locations may also be required.
You’ll deliver a range of courses including:
- First Aid at Work
- Emergency First Aid at Work
- Fire Marshal
- Mental Health First Aid
As our portfolio continues to expand, we’ll provide the training and support you need to develop your own skills and deliver additional courses.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality, engaging training to commercial customers
- Preparing training environments and ensuring an excellent learner experience
- Completing course administration accurately and efficiently
- Maintaining training equipment and professional standards
- Promoting St Andrew’s First Aid’s training products and services
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve our training provision
You’ll bring:
- A recognised training and/or assessor qualification
- A valid First Aid at Work qualification
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- A commitment to continuous professional development
Experience delivering first aid or health and safety training would be advantageous, as would a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, but we’re equally interested in individuals with the right attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional training.
