Why us

Why Choose St Andrew’s First Aid for Health and Safety Training

The health and safety training we deliver draws on 140 years of experience, dating back to our foundation in 1882. As Scotland’s designated first aid charity we are one of only three official Voluntary Aid Societies in the UK, alongside the British Red Cross and St John Ambulance, and together we co-author the official UK First Aid Manual.

Each year, we train around 20,000 people at our training centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Inverness and other locations across Scotland. As a charity, course fees do more than fund your certificate, they also support community first aid initiatives, delivered by our incredible volunteers, who contribute over 50,000 hours each year.
