Asda saving more than money with St Andrew’s First Aid

A cheque for £200 donated by Asda in Clydebank will help St Andrew’s First aid continue to provide their vital first aid services in the community.

Volunteers from St Andrew’s First Aid Clydebank Company said a big thank you to Asda in Clydebank on Friday when they were personally presented with a cheque. The money will go towards purchasing valuable first aid equipment which could be used to save lives.

Tokens are given to customers who then have the opportunity to vote for their favourite charity from a choice of three.

Lynsey Neilson who is Fundraising and PR Assistant at St Andrew’s First Aid said “At St Andrew’s First Aid we are delighted to have been chosen as the recipients of this donation of £200. This demonstrates the awareness that communities have of our charity and will allow us to continue our vital work. At St Andrew’s First Aid we believe that no one should die because they needed first aid and didn’t get it. This donation will help us deliver excellence in everything first aid to the people of Clydebank and the west of Glasgow.”

St Andrew’s First Aid volunteers provide first aid cover at a range of events in the area including rugby matches at the High School of Glasgow.
