Summer Volunteering Opportunities (August 2019)
Festival organisers DF Concerts & Events have kindly offered our charity an amazing opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness of first aid through their busy Summer Sessions music programme in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
We’re seeking a fantastic team of volunteers to represent St Andrew’s First Aid at select Glasgow and Edinburgh Summer Session dates, and work with us to provide ushering and customer service support to the festival’s accessible customers.
We are are looking for caring and compassionate volunteers to:
– Assist accessible customers by providing directions and/or guiding them to use the accessible platform within the arena. The concerts can be extremely busy with mass crowding, having someone to usher them can be a reassurance in a busy environment.
– Provide assistance on the accessible platform to help with seating arrangements, refreshments, and to be a friendly face whilst providing great customer service.
– To fundraise at some of the entrances by doing bucket collections to help raise much needed funds for the charity.
As a benefit to volunteers, you will be able to enjoy the music and acts, whilst offering assistance to those who may need your help. So if you would like to join, please do submit your name and a day that you are available, and we will get in contact.
