Finance Lead charity Trustee opportunity
St Andrew’s First Aid is seeking a Finance Lead charity Trustee to join our Board at an exciting stage in the organisation’s development.
As Scotland’s dedicated first aid charity, we combine a market-leading commercial training business with volunteer-led charitable activity that supports communities across the country. Each year we train more than 15,000 people in first aid and related disciplines, while our network of over 700 volunteers helps deliver first aid support at events and within communities across Scotland.
We are ambitious about our future. With a refreshed strategy and vision, growing national reach and a strong leadership team in place, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of a respected and well-established charity with real momentum.
The Finance Lead charity Trustee plays an important strategic role on the Board, helping to support strong financial governance, sustainability and long-term resilience. Working collaboratively with fellow charity Trustees, the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team, the successful candidate will provide constructive challenge, financial insight and independent judgement while supporting effective decision-making at Board level.
We are particularly interested in candidates with senior-level experience in:
- financial leadership and strategy
- audit and assurance
- governance and risk management
- organisational sustainability and performance
- complex stakeholder or regulated environments
This is a voluntary, non-executive role. Previous charity Trustee experience is welcome but not essential, and we value transferable skills from a wide range of sectors.
We are looking for someone who shares our purpose, brings sound professional judgement and wants to make a meaningful contribution to a national charity that saves lives.
