The Scottish First Aid Awards – 2018

Each year we host the Scottish First Aid Awards to recognise extraordinary people across Scotland who have performed an outstanding act of first aid, supported communities and gone above and beyond their legal first aid responsibilities.

Join us on 23rd November at the Doubletree by Hilton, Cambridge Street Glasgow for this year’s Scottish First Aid Awards and a night of dancing, glitz and maybe even a tear or two.

This year the Scottish First Aid Awards will be hosted by the wonderful Jennifer Reoch, an experienced STV presenter, previous Miss Scotland winner and recent CPR learner.

Back by popular demand for the third year running is the charismatic Edward Reid who will be taking no prisoners and determined to get you on your feet, so dancing shoes at the ready! Then to see you into the wee small hours is our late night entertainment from across the water, Clyde 1 radio DJ – Callum Gallagher.

The funds raised from the Scottish First Aid Awards ensure that our work in local communities continues and brings our organisation closer to achieving its vision of a nation of life-savers.

In 2017, St Andrew’s First Aid continued the BandAge project in Secondary Schools across Scotland where we not only qualify the students as First Aiders but teach them how to cascade these skills to their feeder Primary Schools; launched first aid training for Young Carers and began first aid training for those in the Scottish Prison Service.

In addition to these efforts in the local communities the charity will soon petition the Scottish Government to support first aid training for every primary school child in Scotland – not just those already involved in the BandAge project.
