Scottish Primary School First Aid Programme
Making Headlines Across Scotland
Empowering Pupils with Lifesaving Skills
St Andrew’s First Aid officially launched the Scottish Primary School First Aid Programme in June, providing free, easy-to-access online resources for teachers to deliver first aid lessons to pupils across Scotland. The impact of this programme is being recognised across local and national media.
Designed to be delivered flexibly, the programme offers short, age-appropriate lessons for pupils from P1 to P7, or can be taught as a complete four-hour course. Upon completion, pupils receive a certificate in Emergency First Aid, helping to build a new generation of lifesavers in Scotland.
“This project is about giving teachers the confidence and resources to introduce first aid into their classrooms, ensuring children across Scotland gain the skills they need to act in an emergency.”
– Jim Dorman, Director of Operations and Community Engagement, St Andrew’s First Aid
