Some great news from St Andrew’s First Aid

With the world slowly but surely starting to go back to normal, places starting to open back up and hugs are now allowed again, we decided to reflect on the past year. To kick things off, we wouldn’t have of been able to achieve what we have without our amazing volunteers all over Scotland. Their hard work and dedication to St Andrew’s has made such an impact within different communities and helping at different events. From the very start of the pandemic they have been a credit to us from helping deliver food parcels to vulnerable people & communities to providing first aid cover at the vaccination centers, they have been out on the midst of a terrible time making people smile and lending a helping hand to those who needed it most. We cannot say thank you enough to those who dedicated their time over the course of the pandemic, St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteers have committed 32,150 hours since the beginning of the pandemic, and are still working away in Lothian at the vaccination centres!

As more and more starts to open back up, our Volunteers are super excited to get back out doing what they love at community talks, concerts, football matches, and many more events. In this month alone we are providing First Aid Cover for Biffy Clyro, the Kiltwalk, TRNSMT and more! Keep your eyes peeled on our socials for updates and pictures! Don’t forget to give them a big wave if you see them out and about!
