Introducing our new Managing Director – Gayle Adnyana
We asked her a few questions about how she is finding the role.
How have you enjoyed your time so far with the organisation?
‘First and foremost I’ve enjoyed meeting the team and believe we have great potential. I have also found it very moving to understand our purpose and the important role we play in Scottish society in relation to first aid. I can’t think of anything more important than attempting to save a life.’
What attracted you to working at St Andrew’s First Aid Training and Supplies Ltd?
‘I was attracted to the role of Managing Director because of the recognisable and notable brand. I felt that it would be an interesting and fulfilling role and decided to apply. I have extensive leadership experience in both the private and third sectors and I’ve also had the opportunity to work in Australia – leading a dynamic expansion programme.
‘As a mum of four little people I am greatly attracted to the role at St Andrew’s because of the opportunity we have to make a difference to our fellow human beings. ‘
What do you have planned for the organisation over the next 12 months?
‘In the next 12 months our plans are to grow in a sustainable way, keeping the purpose of what we do at the heart of all of our activities whilst making this a fantastic place to work where all colleagues feel empowered and valued for the work that they do.’
