SPRING into action with our fabulous FUNDRAISING IDEAS

Fundraising is a great and helpful way of raising those all important pennies for St Andrew’s First Aid, which will make a tremendous difference to our work in the Scottish community. Whether it is a Treasuregg Hunt, coffee morning, car boot sale or bungee jump, all fundraising efforts are greatly appreciated and make a huge difference. In a crisis it is vital that First Aid is delivered with confidence and fundraiser efforts will help us to ensure that we continue to teach First Aid skills in the community and provide our volunteers with the equipment they need in an emergency.

Leading the Spring fundraising campaign for St Andrew’s First Aid, Helen Forrest said: “Spring is the perfect time for growing your imagination and creating a fundraiser with a purpose.  We really need trolley beds, AEDs and First Aid supplies for our volunteers so that they can continue their vital work in our community.  We are so grateful for those who give up their time freely and never forget that our work is only possible due to the time and generosity of others. Together we can save lives.” To help you decide what to do this spring we have created a downloadable poster, available on our website.

Here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Create a Treasuregg Hunt
Who doesn’t love searching gardens and houses for Easter Eggs? Why not arrange a Treasuregg event, with the treasure a fabulous Easter Egg at the end.  Ask for a small entry fee for fundraising and to save money you could ask your local shops or friends and family to donate the chocolate eggs!  Then start making clues and get creative! The rule of thumb is that kids’ patience will last through about twice as many clues as they are years old. So, use pictures, draw or take photographs of places to investigate; make rhymes or riddles or secret codes; or maybe theme it Harry Potter style! Whatever you do remember to take pictures and send them into us so we can share your fun.
  • Make and Bake Sale An old and tasty favourite which will work every time.  Make some Easter cakes and biscuits (hot -cross buns, carrot cake, Easter cookies) and sell them at work, or to friends or at a coffee morning for a suggested donation.
  • Have LEMONAID stand
A simpler fundraising idea for the spring.  Organise a lemonade stand in your community and make sure kids and friends join in to help out to keep the excitement growing.
