ROLE
VOLUNTEER First Aider
LOCATION

COMMITMENT
Volunteer hours are negotiable.  Available for public duties during day/week.
REPORTS TO:
St Andrew's First Aid Corps Companies.
Summary: The Glasgow Executive Committee is eagerly recruiting volunteer 'First Aiders' who are available during the day/week.  As a volunteer, you will have access to an unrivalled range of exciting opportunities, from supporting Scottish football league games to supporting some of the biggest music events in Europe.  The amount of time you put in is entirely up to you.  From as little as 2 hours a week you can be part of our winning team.  Not only do our volunteers get the chance to help others, they are also picking up invaluable life skills along the way. We have 12 individual St Andrew's First Aid Corps Companies within our Executive area and each of our volunteers selects one of these companies to join.  Each company meets regularly and provides a local focus for our volunteers, helping to share skills and information. We have 30 training places to offer successful applicants who can support our public duties. Training courses are scheduled as follows:-

ROLE
Impact Assessment Project Volunteer
LOCATION
EDINBURGH
COMMITMENT
Volunteer hours are negotiable. 
Our normal office hours are 9am-5pm,
Monday to Friday.
REPORTS TO:
Corps Development Assistant, ELBEC
Role summary: The main purpose of the role is to support the Corps Development Team to measure the impact of volunteering
What the role involves:  The main elements of volunteer role include:
  • Liaise with the CD team
  • To design and circulate questionnaires
  • Contact staff, volunteers, partners and customers to participate in the consultation process
  • To assist with conducting research via questionnaires, on-line, telephone, face-to-face interviews and focus groups
  • To gather data, collate, analyse and produce a report of the impact of volunteering activity locally and nationally
  • To gather case stories and photographs
  • Produce a report

Rutherglen Company
Role summary:  Our Rutherglen Company is looking for volunteers who have a valid HSE First Aid certificate and would like to become a volunteer with St Andrews. They meet every Thursday from 7.30pm till 9.30pm at Kings Park Church, 242 Castlemilk Road, Glasgow, G44 4LB
