St Andrew's in Edinburgh
The present St Andrew’s Edinburgh Executive Committee evolved from the formation in 1884 of the Edinburgh District Committee of St Andrew’s Ambulance Association. The Committee has been based primarily in the West end of Edinburgh and in 1983 moved to their current premises at Strachan House, 16 Torphichen Street, Edinburgh.
There are 23 local Companies in the Edinburgh and Lothians area, located from Aberlady in the East to West Calder in the West, and their voluntary members provide First Aid cover at numerous sporting, social and cultural events. The events include:
Sport: Rugby Internationals at Murrayfield; Premier League Football at Heart of Midlothian FC; Hibernian FC and Livingston FC.
Theatres and Concerts: Usher Hall, Festival Theatre, Queens Hall, Corn Exchange. First Aid cover has also been provided at concerts held at Edinburgh Castle, Murrayfield and Easter Road stadium.
Other events: The Edinburgh Military Tattoo; Edinburgh Hogmanay Street Party; Festival Cavalcade and the Royal Highland Show

The Committee also provides First Aid training for the general public and businesses.
