St. Andrew's in Dumbarton and Argyll
In Dumbarton & Argyll we provide First Aid Training and Services to the West of Scotland, also covering the Islands off the West coast and the Clyde Estuary.
Training
Training can range from talks in First Aid, assistance with First Aid badge work for Guides, Boys Brigade etc to HSE Approved First Aid courses for workplaces and Sports Injuries courses. Contact the number below for courses to find out about courses to suit your requirements.
Services
Uniformed volunteers can provide First Aid services to events. If you are arranging a sporting event or an event where members of the public are likely to attend you will be required to have First Aid cover.
The following events are an example of the types of occasion at which we provide regular First Aid cover.
Caledonian Challenge
This is an event that begins at Fort William and finishes at Ardlui. It requires at least 40 First Aiders to look after the needs of 1,500 walkers at 5 First Aid posts.
The Cowal Highland Gathering
The world's largest Highland Games, with competitive events that include Highland Dancing, Heavy Events, Solo Piping, Pipe Bands, Athletics and Shinty
Loch Lomond Scottish Open Golf
A major event in the Scottish sporting calendar which is held over five days and attracts crowds of up to 15,000 per day so requires a minimum of one First Aider per 1,000 spectators.
