Trainer/Assessor

Two full-time vacancies for Trainer/Assessors have arisen for highly motivated individuals with strong communication skills and First Aid training experience.  The job holder will predominantly work from our Edinburgh based Training Centre but may be required to travel to other parts of Scotland from time-to-time.

The Trainer/Assessor, reporting directly to the Training Advisor, will be responsible for the delivery and/or assessment of St Andrew’s various First Aid and related courses.  The successful applicant will also work as part of a team to develop and review learning materials.

The individual will have experience in the delivery and assessment of HSE Approved ‘First Aid at Work’ courses and also hold a recognised training qualification.  The successful candidate will have a distinct advantage if he/she has experience in delivering any other health and safety related courses and possesses an Internal Verifier qualification.  The person should also be proficient in the use of Microsoft Powerpoint.

Completed applications must be returned by 26 February 2010.  Interviews will be held in our Headquarters in Glasgow between 08 – 12 March 2009.  An enhanced disclosure will be required for this post.
