Allergies range from the common - hayfever or seasonal allergic rhinitis is the most widespread allergy in the UK, to the more serious - some allergies such as those to peanuts or shellfish can result in death. It is vital that allergy sufferers have quick access to good First Aid which can make the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
This course gives information and training on how to recognise and treat this manageable condition. It is available to the pre-school/school environments as well as the leisure and catering industries. Receiving this training would give anyone who finds themselves with an allergy emergency the confidence to deal with the situation effectively - possibly even saving a life.
Course content includes:
Definition of Anaphylaxis
Recognition of symptoms and signs
Correct use of auto-injector pen
A certificate for three years is awarded on successful completion of this course. Holders of an Anaphylaxis Awareness course certificate automatically qualify for our free Associate Membership Insurance.
