Events in Fife

Our volunteers provide First Aid cover at dozens of events and venues across Fife each year with just a few examples listed below. If you are organising an event and would like to know how we can help simply send us an events enquiry or contact us at our Fife office.

Regular events:

Kirkcaldy Links Market

This is one of the biggest and most modern street funfairs in Europe, the event regularly attracts between 100,000 and 150,000 visitors over 6 days in April and features fairground operators from across the Continent. St Andrew’s First Aid members are in attendance throughout the duration of the event to provide First Aid assistance where needed.

Glenrothes Road Running Festival

This is an annual road running festival for all age groups with different lengths of courses for the different age groups ranging from a fun run for the kids to a 10K race for anyone who fels they have the stamina to complete the distance. The event starts from the race track at the Fife Instituteof Physical and Recreational Education (FIPRE).

Edinburgh to St Andrews cycle run

This is a yearly event we cover where some 500+ cyclists and in some years many more take part. Cyclists of all ages from children the younger elderly take part. You see many sprint cyclists on their racing bikes to the enthusiasts on mountain bikes, even the odd tandem bike. In previous years we have seen cyclists completing the course on a penny farthing bicycle and some less abled cyclists compete as well. The event kicks off from Market Street in Edinburgh and finishes at the Band Stand on the grass banks near the St Andrews Aquarium.

The event is in Aid of LEPRA - a charity associated with the British Leprosy Relief Association.

Highland Games

Events take place througout Fife. In addition to the traditional heavy athletics there are childrens races, Highland Dancing displays and competitions, track and field events, piping and much more.
