East Kilbride Company
East Kilbride Company has been serving the local East Kilbride and surrounding areas for many years now and is well established amongst residents of the area.
We meet on Wednesday evenings, 7.30-9.45pm, at Kirktonholme Community Hall, Kirktonholme Road, West Mains, East Kilbride.
Our Members
We have over 30 volunteers in our Company. They come from all areas of East Kilbride as well as further afield, including Hamilton, Castlemilk and King's Park.
Our officers are:
Susan Adamson - Commandant
Joe O'Malley - Deputy Commandant (Public Duties)
Sarah MacFarlane - Assistant Commandant (Training)
Richard McIntyre - Assistant Commandant (Marketing and Public Relations)
First Aid training
We can provide the following courses:
- Standard course (twice a year)
- Junior course (twice a year)
- Anaphylaxis Awareness (as required)
- Using an AED (as required)
- Moving and Handling - Parts 1,2 and 3 (as required)
- Baby and Child First Aid (as required)
Courses are usually run on a Wednesday evening at our training hall in Kirktonholme Road but can be tailored according to needs of the attendees.

Local events for which we provide First Aid cover include:
- East Kilbride Village Theatre
- Calderglen Park
- East Kilbride Arts Burst Festival
- The Buddie Bus
- Kittochside
- East Kilbride Pirates
- BB Hike
We also provide volunteers for larger events and venues including:
- T in the Park
- Eaglesham Fair
- Football at Hampden, Ibrox, Celtic Park etc
- Concerts at Hampden
- Hogmanay at George Square
- Proms in the Park
- St Andrew's Day Parade
- Remembrance Day Parade
- Carling Academy
- O2 Academy
